Pregnancy Pet Peeves!

Being pregnant is such a miraculous thing!!! To bring life into this world is amazing....OK!!! I need to stop! Yes, yes its a great thing, and yes its such an honor to be a woman and carry life and all that but it has its down sides like everything else!!! Every pregnant woman has things that bother her, whether it has to do with their bodies, their feelings, or other people! Here are my pregnancy Pet Peeves:

Random people rubbing the belly:  Now don't get me wrong! I love when friends, family, people I know come up to me and rub Spawn #3, it makes me feel happy that the belly gets to feel the love!!! Just this past Saturday my little cousin grabbed my stomach and gave it a big old kiss! I loved it! Seeing her kiss my belly when I was there the day she was born was a great moment. What I am talking about is random people, associates, especially work associates that really don't have anything to do with your personal life! I was at a big meeting for my company a few weeks back and someone who I work with but really doesn't know me came from behind while I was giving out a hand out and shook the crap out my belly and was like wasn't you just pregnant!!!! Really??? at a meeting. When does a pregnant belly become its own entity. When does some one think its OK to reach out and invade some one's personal space and grab on to their belly! Just cause there is a baby in there??? I wonder how that works? I just can't comprehend that!!! LOL

People commenting on my reproductive system: This one is tricky and maybe I am the only one that this bothers, but nonetheless it bothers me! So I will share! In the past couple of weeks I have received a weird reaction to having my third child and surprisingly its come from older women. I had a conversation with someone who has known my family many years and when she saw me pregnant she was like "oh wow is this number three" I say yes and then she says "you closing up shop after this right?" Now I have received this reaction in many different forms. Like, "that's it right", "Will you get fixed now", or "you getting operated right?" or  "¿Te vas a quedar operado?" What if I didn't get operated and got my tubes tied??? What if I had 10 kids! What business of that is anyone's!!! LOL I mean what if I was going for a reality show or something! Like I understand three kids is a big deal. One kid is a big deal! But I don't think I would ever ask someone if they were going to go get fixed! I mean really! What if I was a devote catholic and didn't believe in birth control! Also last time I checked I ain't asking no one for help raising my kids so why does it matter if i have I have three or ten kids! LOL I can go on forever!!! LOL But really I mean I understand they mean well and many follow that up with some words of advice from their own experiences but  I just find it so funny!

Again I don't want to be misunderstood, I am over the moon that we are having a baby and that it's a boy because I having two girls I would love to experience what it is to have a son! I am so grateful that have such a great support system that helps me out even when I don't dare ask for help! But we all have Pet Peeves and these are two my favorite Pet peeves

  1. Ok. I'll behave. It won't be easy, but I promise to try.

    P.S. I'm thrilled you're having a boy!! They ALWAYS think you're pretty.

  2. You are allowed to complain and you don't even need a disclaimer. Being pregnant is no joke, except for when it is and then it's not funny.
